The Maxxis MA-P1 is an ultra-high-performance all-season tire that is designed for use on sedans, minivans, and crossovers and offers drivers good year-round traction, great handling, and an up to 50,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty.
Features & Benefits
- Ultra-high-performance all-season tread
- Black sidewall
- 40,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty for 55 series and 50,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty for 60/65/70 series
- Computer-tuned tread pattern lowers road noises and vibrations to create a quiet, comfortable ride.
Drivers can enjoy the dynamic performance they want all year round without replacing their tires thanks to ultra-high-performance all-season tires like the Maxxis MA-P1 tires. The Maxxis MA-P1 features an ultra-high-performance all-season tread pattern that offers dry, wet, and light winter weather traction. While jointless spiral wound nylon cap ply enhances strength and durability for longer tread life, four wide grooves of the Maxxis MA-P1 remove water from the tread to resist hydroplaning and boost wet traction. In addition, the MA-P1 has a non-directional symmetric design that may be rotated to reduce pattern noise over the life of the tire.
Performance tires are designed for use on sports cars and performance-oriented vehicles. These tires are usually at their best in above freezing temperatures, and offer drivers responsive handling, improved acceleration, and strong braking capabilities.
Passenger tires are some of the most common tires you'll find on the roads today, and frequently used on coupes, sedans, hatchbacks, minivans, and other passenger vehicles. Passenger tires are available in a wide variety of types, such as all-season, winter, and ultra-high-performance.
This product is covered by a 40,000 mile manufacturer’s treadlife warranty. Merchandise covered by a manufacturer’s warranty is sold with the warranty by the manufacturer extended to the purchaser. We will be happy to assist in obtaining fulfillment of a manufacturer’s warranty. Other than applicable manufacturers’ warranties, there are no warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The only tires SimpleTire can warranty are brand new defects (meaning that they have not been mounted or driven on). Any bead damaged will be void of any warranty claim. Any other adjustments should be taken to the nearest authorized dealer for that manufacturer. Sometimes the manufacturer also provides a treadlife warranty and mileage rating. Please be aware that not all tires hold a mileage warranty from the manufacturer. Different tire models, even from the same manufacturer, may or may not come with a treadlife warranty.
The maximum carrying capacity for a tire determined by the manufacturer.
Maximum speed capability to safely carry a load for an extended period of time.
The maximum load carrying strength at the specified inflation pressure, also known as ply rating.
The side of the tire between the tread and rim, with cosmetic branding as well as information about the tire including manufacturer, model, size, etc.
Standards that measure treadwear, temperature resistance and traction, example: "640 A A". The 640 is the treadwear test and it lasted 6.4 times longer than the comparison tire tested against. The first "A" is the traction rating using straight-line wet traction on test surfaces (see information tables tab) and the second "A" is the temperature rating by testing operation at high speeds without heat-related failure (see information tables tab).
Wet Traction is a piece of the UTQG for example if UTQG is: 500 AA A, the wet traction piece is the second piece, the "AA".
Measured in 32nds of an inch, this metric shows how much tread life is left on a tire, with the tire's traction & stopping capabilities greatly diminished at 4/32nds and less. Tire manufacturers include "tire wear bars" at 2/32nds to indicate when your tire is worn out.
The highest inflation pressure (measured in pounds of force per square inch, PSI) the tire is designed to contain, and should only be used when called for by the vehicle placard.
An identifier of a particular tire line and size combination assigned by the tire manufacturer.
Shipping weight (lbs)
The measurement of width from a tires inner sidewall to the outer sidewall.
The range of widths the rim of the vehicle can be for this tire to be safely mounted on.
The diameter of a tire that is inflated without any load applied.
